Alliance, Nebraska.
Organized
February 22, 1919.
The Point of Rock Chapter was organized on February 22, 1919. It was named for a small cliff about 15 miles Northwest of the town of Alliance. The point could be seen for many miles in either direction and near this point were cool springs of water. It became a landmark and stopping place for immigrant wagons going west.
Meetings are the 1st Saturday of the
months (Oct. - June)
Meet members of the Point of Rock Chapter, NSDAR on
Sunday afternoon during the summer at the Sallows Military Museum from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. May thru August.
